Upgrading from 6700k?10900k?

Thanks for all the replies, im not planning on upgrading the whole system yet.
I might just stick with what I've got for now.
In general it runs pretty well, can always get quicker I guess but id rather upgrade the system as a whole I think.

Don't be so quick to jump OP. I have just gone to AMD after years running a 4790K and kind of wishing I never bothered to be honest.

I'm also running a 1080ti and have noticed no fps increases in the few games I play. MW is more stable though which is good.

My setup is also running far hotter and therefore louder than my 4790K rig ever did. Although I sure this will be fixed by a bios update as it appears to be voltage related.

I am not saying AMD is the wrong choice, they seem to be smashing intel according to all the reviewers. Just think carefully about dropping a load of cash on a new setup that will see you little or no gains.

Which AMD cpu did you get? Using a 1070Ti I went from 90FPS in COD Cold war to 130-140FPS by upgrading from my 4770k system to a 5950x system. Granted I run lowest settings possible to get as many frames as I can, but I'm now 100% GPU bound. Certainly runs no hotter/louder either, though that may be more down to my very old AIO getting replaced :D

Had an 3700X for a whole week until I got hold of the one I was after, the 5600X.

I haven’t tried any CPU intensive games to be far. I only really play MW and then it’s the normal multiplayer, not warzone which I believe is heavier on the CPU.

Still toying with getting a 5900X but I really want to upgrade the 1080ti next. Can see it being at least feb or March before I can take my pick of 3080s.
