Hi guys. Hope you can help me.

I'm looking to upgrade from an ATI6850 to a new GPU. Looking to spend less than £200 but still get a decent performance increase.

I would also like to know if I need to upgrade my PSU, haven't had issues with it so far with my current spec but I'm curious as to if my current PSU is enough with the respective GPU upgrade.

My current specs:
- CX430 PSU
- i5 4670k (no overclocking)
- Currently 6850
- 8GB RAM
- 1080p monitor

I've been looking to get a 660 or 760 but any recommendations are welcomed.

Thanks guys.

Any of the following will deliver a very nice boost over your 6850 : (GTX960 / GTX770, 280 / 280X).

In terms of power requirements, I 'think' you'll be okay with the 960, though I'm not absolutely certain.

Yeah I've looked around at the performance and specs of the 960, seems to consume less power than the 6850 so this seems like the best choice considering its also really affordable.

Surely the psu would be fine, the 6850 has a 31w higher tdp than the 960 lol.

"Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation

GeForce GTX 960 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 400 ~ 450 Watt power supply unit."

That's a very conservative estimate too because their system was using 237w at full load.
