Hi guys,
havent posted anything for a while (slight understatement).
I am taking the plunge and upgrading my pc which entails changing the motherboard & CPU from AMD to Intel.
I am running windows 10, what issues am I likely to encounter if I dont do a clean install? Is it likely to boot up at all?

Not sure why you would consider a complete system change without a re-install, you're opening yourself up to a whole world of pain if you don't.

In my heart I know a clean install is the right thing to do, just wondered weather or not a dirty install (is it even called that) was possible :)

It's possible - as james_2k alluded to - Windows 10 is far more proficient at swapping formats/chipsets than its predecessor. But even 10 can sometimes fail with the initial boot process, or it will do the initial boot, update - make you feel all warm and fuzzy - and then promptly fail on the second boot.

Or, the more likely, it may develop conflicts over time that will result in you doing a fresh install anyway.

Personally, I would do the fresh install - could save you a lot of future hassle.
