So I am looking to upgrade my on board to sound it is all I am lacking now to my build I know also that a sound card is only as good as its speakers and headphones I am happy with my headphones (Asus Vulcan ANC Noise Cancelling ROG Gaming Headset) and also with my speakers (Logitech Z520) I am more into clear sound than to much deep bass and all I use my computer for is gaming what would you recommend sound card wise ? with out paying out too much any help would be appreciated Thank you.

I still use onboard with my g930, think its fine, sound its really good. Thats something for me ive never thought about getting is a soundcard
I'd steer clear of the Recon3D cards. Creative has had quite a lot of stick from people who found the Recon3D to be a step down from the X-Fi it replaced. Far better to buy a Soundblaster Z instead, which is what the Recon3D should have been.

Possibly, but it may not be noticeable. The DG is a great upgrade to onboard.
I switched from a Xonar DG to the Creative Z and it was a big improvement. But, I have a pretty good speaker system. For the speakers and headset you have, I agree with Papalazaru, the Xonar DG will be big improvement over onboard audio and is probably the best option to go for.
Your G930's don't use your motherboards onboard sound they use the headset's built in USB soundcard.
