Thank youuu

There is your first upgrade then, an SSD. You'll thank everyone who suggests one when you get it installed with a nice clean Windows install, and all the latest drivers etc. :)

So will that actually help frames per second for a game like warzone? Just dont want to spend money for no performance upgrade :') not bothered about loading screen times :)

Get an SSD. You won’t regret it. No effect on frame rates but the general usability of the computer is so much better. If you’ve not used one you’ll be staggered at the difference it makes to load times, boot times and general snappiness.

I’d also wait until the nvidia 30 series cards are released in a week or so. The 3080 is released next week and the 3070 in October. Both will smash a 2070S to pieces.

So what do you think is the cause in slow frames per second? Could it perhaps be monitor? I'm using a Samsung lu28e590d screen. Or could.it be cpu? Because that's mainly want I want to solve :)

What % is your cpu and gpu running at ? Use msi afterburner to monitor

Are you getting stuttering in game or are you sure it's low fps ?

Stuttering can be when the flow of data is slow, like using an old hard drive.

Im not sure off the top of my head but it just seems like its mot as fluid as it should be, like i need to.play at a lower resolution to increase the smoothness and i dont think i should have to with the 2070 super on warzone

That's why you need to check Cpu and gpu usage to give you a more definitive answer , msi afterburner will show all that and how many fps you get.

You really should consider getting an ssd.

Ideally you want a 144hz monitor for FPS games like warzone. 1440p res should be a good fit with your Gpu. Your current monitor looks to be 4K 60hz

Have you tried enabling gsync in the nvidia control panel to see if that makes the gameplay smoother?

Hi gsync doesn't come up as an option in nvidia control but I think that might be becauae I'm using hdmi rather than display port? What monitor would you recommend that isn't more then like 300-500 quid?

Also ill look into getting an ssd too.

Do you think i should change monitor or?

Are you happy with it ?

Your monitor is a 4k @60hz freesync according to the model number, G-sync will not be available.

What resolution are you playing ?

Playing games at 4k high detail will certainly strain your gpu depending on game.

I was happy with it but then if I ever watch like a twitch stream of warzone it looks no end smoother and all I can attribute the smoothness to is frame rate! So if a new monitor will fix that then ill be happier yes.

You can turn on gsync on any freesync monitor provided you have a gtx 10 series or above card connected via DP cable and your running Windows 10. There's no guarantee it will work properly though unless it's on the certified list but worth a try as I've had it working perfectly on a non certified monitor.

have you made sure you have a decent HDMI cable as some will only do 30fps at 4K.

A new monitor wont stop Stuttering in twitch tream stream, it could be due to your internet speed for example.

You really need to see what your cpu and gpu are doing without this we are just guessing ?

And you still havnt said what resolution you are gaming at ?

Absolutely connect via DisplayPort and then try to enable G-Sync. Also running at 4K will put a major strain on your graphics card, the twitch streams you’re watching are likely 1080p so the FPS is much higher.

So I nipped home at lunch and tried to get it up and running on the msi afterburner but tbh not sure how to use the afterburner software! But looked on YouTube at the frame rate comparison and its because my game is stuck in 30fps as to why its not smooth! But there's no option for me in game to increase frame rate, even if I lower resolution. Either must be the monitor or im doing something wrong??? Apologies in advance, I know it must be frustrating trying to help someone who is clueless haha
