Ok so basically I just purchased a new 770 and I have read that I need 1 6 pin and 1 8 pin PCI-E connector. My PSU is the following

Antec True Power New 650W Modular Power Supply PSU 80Plus Bronze

And, not that it is too relevant, the GPU I am replacing is a 560Ti.

Now As far as I can tell, one of the PCI-E power cables also has a small 2x pin connector, I am assuming that when the new card gets here, I plug the 2 6 pins in as normal and just add the 2 pin on the remaining pins?

Just thought I would check with the gurus to make sure nothing explodes when I put the new card in lol.

Just incase u need to know;

Mobo is MSI Z68A-GD65-G3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
CPU - i52500k
RAM 12GB (2x 2GB and 2 x 4GB)

Thank you for any info!

Correct, the 2pin attach to the side of the 6pin to make you an 8pin connector then use the other 6pin.
