Upgrading GPU

Hi i have had my PC for roughly 3 years now and was looking at upgrading my GPU, wanted some recommendations on what people though i should get, looking to spend £230-£300, im currently able to play most games on low/medium while only getting a few frame drops but want to try and be able to play some new stuff on higher settings.

Any help is appreciated

Gtx 980 is currently on sale around that price as of is trying to clear out their old stock. Though you might be better off waiting till the end of the month and picking up the RX 480. Though we don't have the full stats on the 480 yet. It's expected to be about the same performance as the gtx 980 at around the £200 mark.
 
Wait until the 29th june and get the Amd rx480 card,theres will be a 4gb version for about £165 ,and the 8gb version for £230,either will be a massive upgrade to your 7850.
Proberly more than double the fps of your 7850.
 
Nice looks like i'll be waiting for the RX 480 then, does anybody know the dimensions of the card as i don't have much room to play around with in the case :)
