Hi

I built my computer around 2 and a bit years ago and since then I have been running a VTX 5770, however i've decided that it's time for an upgrade. After reading around I have come to the conclusion that the 7950 should be the card im looking for.

However im stuck choosing one, to me and from what i've read this seems to be one of the better options. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-304-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1673
Yet looking through previous threads on the forum there are numerous posts suggesting different manufacturers all for different reasons. Noise isnt a huge concern of mine as i already have a loud case and am mainly looking for performance. Maybe there isnt a definitive anwser to my question, and there is no single card that stands above the rest. However your advice would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks.

I believe the vapour x is voltage locked so you wouldn't be able to up this to get higher oc's (not sure if your looking at wanting to overclock but this would become a problem if you did)

Msi twin frozr are a little touch and go due to the noise and heat issue they are currently having (I had to send back 2 because if this)

The general feeling on the forum is that the his ice q 7950 is the way forward good cooling quiet overclock fairly well.http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-065-HS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1673

The gigabyte is also a popular choice yet again good cooler and quiet and believe it is not voltage locked like the his also.

these are the legths of the most popular cards:

gigabyte: H= 42.5mm, L=280 mm, W=134 mm (11.023 inches)
ice q boost: 15.5 x 5.8 x 29.5 cm (11.614 inches)
msi: 261 x 111 x 38mm (10.27 inches)

if you cant fit the gigabyte you definetly cant fit the his iceQ
