Storage sub-forum seems very quiet and not many replies on threads so...

I am looking to get an SSD. Anyone have any experience with the Corsair Force 3 180gb? I only have sata 2 connectors so I'm wondering whether to buy a cheaper 256gb sata 2 SSD.

I don't personally, but I know the Corsair Force and Crucial M4 series are very good SSDs. The SATA2 will limit it to 300MB/s but it will still be very fast :) I'd still get a SATA3 one, as if you ever upgrade you can keep it and use it's full potential!

Agreed. Get the SATA3 version even though you'll only be using it at SATA2 speed. It will be one less upgrade you will need to make in future. If you need extra capacity in future, you can also just buy another one.

The above is good advice, but, I would take the extra 70+gb over the not needed SATA3 any day. The SATA 2 will be fast and will be just as fast after you upgrade, which might be a very long time from now.
