Hey guys,

Got just over 2 months (/18) left of my contract with Three to go. I've seen a pretty good deal on T-Mobile I'm thinking about getting which would see me getting the sexy HTC HD2. However, I'm wondering how flexible Three with be with me to try and get me to stay with them.

Anyone got any experience/stories/tactics for negotiating?

Thanks!

well they certainly wont offer you a hd2

do three actually have a phone you want ?

also depends hugely on how much you spend with them

3 Mobile don't do the HD2, they only offer what's available on the website. And the people on the phones are monkeys who don't have a clue about phones.

the only HTC phone they have is the Hero and its on a retarded tariff, and when I tried talking them round to giving me that as an upgrade, they flat out refused (as its "only available to new customers") even though I said I'd go to another network if they refused.

If you poke around the site there's nothing available that's on par with the likes of the HD2/Droid/N900 so I'd just jump network if I was you, as they simply don't have decent smartphones available. Chances are they'll offer you the Satio, that's what they kept trying to push at me. I told them I'd rather shag a cheesegrater.

They're kicking themselves in the balls really, they're a fully 3G network, what phones make use of a high speed data connection the best? Good high-end smartphones. What don't they have available? Good high-end smartphones. :(

other than their lack of phones I did like the network coverage, was disappointed myself at having to switch networks.

I would take any opportunity you have to leave 3.
Even if they offered me a diamond encrusted holographic teleporter watch-phone that gave me Jesus powers, for free, I still wouldn't use them.

Snap, been with 3 for ages and they've been really good for me, but their choice of new phones is shocking. I'm switching to an iPhone or Milestone for xmas.

Just in relation to this, 3 CSAs and 30 minutes last night and I have my PAC code.

They didnt even try to sell my anything, although that is because I kept telling them I'm getting an iPhone and even they know they don't stock it.
