At the beginning of Feb, I'm planning to do a new build. Is the GTX 700 series coming out around then, Or should i do a build with a GTX680 ?

Cheers

My bad sorry (my hungover eyes not working properly yet). It is the same guess work for Nvidia as the AMD thread bud. Nothing at all on a potential release date as of yet.

Hopefully the rumour mill will throw out some more speculation next year.
Your best bet would be to ask the same question the latter part of January 2013, there might be some proper word then.

3 months is along time for computer parts.

Most say they will use same size chips so probs 10-15% max difference. But you'll pay a lot more on release so think about is it worth it.

From what I can find on internet aparentlly its a new architecture
So the gain might be a around 20% or over. But probably 10-15% realisticly :)

@IC3 I doubt it'd be a new architecture, they'll want to at least keep "GCN" for more than a single generation. Most architectures are around for at least 2 really and across multiple manufacturing processes which bring improvements to that architecture in the form of efficiency and power consumption meaning the core can be doubled up (for example) whilst keeping power consumption, die size and heat output down.

We'll just have to wait and see what they do.
