upgrading laptop memory

ok so my brother has a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L1310G and well 512mb just isn't enough, was thinking of getting him another gig or 2, what sort does it take and what's the best ones?

also can anyone link me to a guide on how to intall laptop ram?

You might find this page helpful. You'll need to have a look to see if the existing memory is 1 x 512MB or 2 x 256MB (likely) and buy your upgrade accordingly. If you can find out whether it's DDR (likely) or DDR2 then you could buy generic SODIMMs.

Changing memory on a laptop is almost identical to on a desktop. There's usually a cover on the bottom that can be removed to reveal the SODIMM sockets although there are some where you have to remove the keyboard instead.
