Upgrading Logitech G5 Replacement Help

Hi,

I've got a Logitech G5, and I find it really comfortable to use but I needed at least two side buttons for gaming.

I ordered a Logitech G500 thinking it would be perfect but it's really quite unpleasant for me.

When gaming, I move my mouse a lot by lifting it. From reading around, I use a claw grip. The G5's profile and grooves for the thumb and little finger means I can lift it easily without having to grip harder on the mouse. The G500 on the other hand has a shape that makes it harder to pick up without a firmer grip, which is causing my hand to ache. The G500 also feels heavier, and I'm not keen on the rough texture of the plastic.

So what I'm after:
  • Two side buttons
  • Shaped so that it is easy to pick up without a firm grip. I think I'm using a claw grip.
  • Not a rough plastic texture. Preferably a smooth rubber finish like the G5

G400 looks similar to the G4, but I'm not sure how it compares.

Appreciate any help that can be offered.

Thanks

EDIT - Whoops mistyped the title. I meant "Upgrading Logitech G5 Help"

ive always had logitech (mx518 and G9 were my last 2)but last time round i bought a steelseries kana and its a decent mouse.

it has an extra mouse button on each side rather than 2 on the right and the DPI input can only be 400 800 1600 3200 with a button to swap between 2 of them.

i got mine for £25 and tbh if it went wrong i think i would get anotehr one rather than something more expensive.

The G400 looks like the G5, apart from it has an optical sensor, not laser. Although the G400 is the best mouse I have used.
