Hello,

after messing around with value sticks and the likes I decided to buy some quality memory to upgrade my system properly.

I currently have a (2x512) TwinXP1024-3200XL XPERT (the ones with the LED displays) and some crap kingston value ram (again 2x512), thus making a total of 2GB.

However, the Corsair chips can run at 2-2-2-5 but the kingston value chips obviusly can not and forcing me to run my rig at 2-2-2-6 2T @ 133Mhz (instead of 200Mhz)

The question now is:

if I buy

OCZ 1GB (2 x 512MB) PC3500 Dual Channel Gold GX XTC Series EL-DDR CAS2

and swap them for the value chips so I can have a proper 2GB @ 400Mhz (and potentially more by OC since the chips will allow now) on 2-2-2-5 times is worth the money and gain?

Thanks for your input any vets with mix and match experience, or if you belive some other route is better please feel free to suggest!.

Thanks again.

ps: All running on an A8R32MVP-Dlx with a 4400+ X2

What sticks you guys suggest for my system. Timings are important on lower frequencies such as 400, 433 etc .. ? or I wont notice any difference with a CAS 3 2GB kit running at 433Mhz instead of CAS2 at 400Mhz?

Higher freq allows for 1:1 OC aswell so I dunno.

Thanks for input!
