Hi All

Had this PC since 2011

i5 2500k
DDR3 8GB 1333mhz
GeForce 570
Gigabyte Z68 B3 D3 Motherboard

I've already upgraded the GPU to a R9 290.

The CPU is still fine but now looking into upgrading the ram to 2133Mhz.

The prices are quite different, some half the price of the others. I dont want to pay full whack for something if I am only paying for the name if it would perform exactly the same as something cheaper so could I have some recommendations please as none of these brands ring any bells to me

Thank you

Competitor's link. :o

I don't think the speed increase will be noticeable.

If you have a lot of apps running in Windows, then another 8GB will help?

I dont really have many apps running in the background, I dont think I am nearing the amount of RAM being used so I think 8gb is fine what I do though I have seen some benchmarks of games and more FPS seem to be achieved with fasting RAM using the same CPU/GPU

This is where I am getting this information from,
I am open to advice and opinions on whether its worth me upgrading my current DDR3 8GB Ram which is either 1333mhz or 1600mhz... replacing it with DDR3 8GB 2133Mhz.
Mostly for games is all I care about, according to those benchmark tests with the same CPU going from 1600mhz to 2133mhz RAM they are achieving roughly 10FPS more in most games. For a £50 upgrade if that would be the case for me I think thats a worthy upgrade.... Please comment on this

Thanks

10 more FPS from faster ram? Er no... Well not unless the frame rate was so stupendously fast in the first place that it would make no difference.
