Hey everyone.

I was thinking about updating my computer as it's getting outdated now and I'd rather not wait until I can afford a brand new one. I only have a small budget of like £150 to upgrade with, here are my specs:

Asus M3N72-D
AMD Phemon X4 9950 Black Edition 2.6
Geforce 9800GT
Corsair 2x1gb DDR2 800mhz

I'm not really sure what to go for to upgrade this, but I'm struggling to get decent frame rates on the newer games so I need to do something.

I was thinking of upgrading the graphics card and adding another 2gb of ram. I was planning on overclocking the CPU but I'm struggling to get it faster than 2.8ghz for some reason, and if I could get it higher I'd need some better cooling because it's running pretty hot.

So, what do you think is the best way to upgrade? Maybe I'm completely wrong.

Thanks.

DDR2 is VERY expensive (for the speed), how about a new motherboard and 4 (or 8)GB DDR3??

check with others before taking my advice, but 2GB is below standard now. after that graphic card might be the next. my pentium dual core doesnt lag much so i shouldnt expect the X4 to do so.

Thanks for those, that graphics card looks like a good choice. Yes I do have four ram slots. :)

That might be possible, but sounds like it might put me over budget.
