Upgrading my ram....

I currently have a Acer Aspire One A0531h and its only got 1gb ram now my old laptop (hp pavillion) has just failed due to the gfx going kaput and im not spending £300 on a new piece so im going to use my netbook for the time being......now can i take the 2gb from my old laptop and stick it in my netbook? Or does it have to be the same as whats in there?...its the same speed.

To my knowledge laptop memory is laptop memory providing it's the correct DDR version/speed.

ok thanks mate...so do i have to just stick it in then it works or change some setting in bios etc?

BIOS settings don't *usually* need to be changed when you upgrade the RAM, the system should just detect the change and be happy providing the mobo can take that much RAM.
