Hi all,

First time I've really needed advice as I'm moving into my first non-rented house this week so it seems a good time to take stock of my system I've collected over the years.

Current setup:
  • Sony Bravia EX401
  • 2 x Mordaunt-Short Avant 902i
  • Denon DRA-F101
  • PS3 for games (obviously) and very occasional Bluray
  • Squeezebox for music
  • RasberryPi running XBMC for playing my tv and movies

I currently don't have any sat/cable but might in future due to SD looking pap.

I'm not overly fussed between a 2.1 or a 5.1 system but if 5.1, the option for wireless rear speakers would be nice.

Budget I'm looking at £300-£350 but could go up to £500-£600 for something relatively future-proof.

I guess the main question is what do you want to better? For the money you could either get:

a much bigger TV
an Av amp and some 5.1 speakers
upgrade your amp and speakers for just stereo (or with a sub)

I wouldnt upgrade the Squeezebox. PS3 or Pi so its a question of which of the above you would prefer to spend your money on. Once you make that decision i'm sure people will be more willing to advise of specific improvements :)

Sorry for not being clear, I'm just after a sound upgrade but provided the rest for compatibility, e.g. I've seen a few 5.1 systems that are all-singing and dancing but I already have that side sorted.
