Upgrading Netbook RAM...

Hi, hoping some one can help me.

I recently purchased a Samsung netbook which has 1GB 2Rx8 PC2-6400S-666 RAM, and would like to upgrade to 2GB of RAM.

I've looked around and I've found single 2GB sticks of both 2Rx8 and 2Rx16. (There is only 1 slot for RAM so I intend to replace my 2Rx8 1GB stick with a 2GB stick.)

My Question: What is the difference between the two?

pass, but I wouldnt have thought it made much difference as long as you but the right speed and type of memory.

Presumably ones a single sided stick with 8 x 256MB chips and the other is a double sided with 16 x 128MB chips. As the previous poster said it should be fine providing its the right speed and type.

It might be an idea to check Samsungs QVL just in case though.
