Hey all had these comp bits for a while now and i think it maybe time for an upgrade, been out of the loop for a few years so i dont really know whats good.

i dont really have a budget but nothing super expensive here are my specs:

cpu:q6600 at 3.25ghz
gpu:ati 5850
ram:kingston 1066hmz hyperx
mobo:asus p5q deluxe
Dont need a case or psu as i have 1300watt :P

TY

Cant see whats wrong with what you got, a [email protected] is a great speed for that great chip.

Is the RAM 4GB?

What motherboard do you have?

Because im thinking you should crossfire another 5850.

yes its 4gb and the mobo i have is the asus p5q deluxe, i was thinking of getting the q6600 watercooled then bumping it up for 4ghz?

waste of money. if your going to spend a fortune on watercooling you might as well spend it on an i5 sandybridge + new motherboard instead. it'll be a bigger improvement than a few extra Ghz on the Q6600

*edit*
or do stulids far more sensible solution below because the Q6600 is still pretty good

True well i havent tried to get more out of this cpu yet, ive got a artic cooler for it so its well cooled might try for 3.5ghz

Save your upgrade money, buy another 5850 and see how the game plays, then if you want more you can then do a CPU/RAM and motherboard upgrade.

A Q6600 over 3ghz is a good performer.

ill have a look for a second 5850 it doesnt have to be the same one does it?

Nope.
