Looking to upgrade my system, this is what I have so far.

Already got a PSU and Optical drive sorted as well as an OS. Just looking at the hardware.

If there's better tech out there that's cheaper (Or can achieve the same results) then I'd love suggestions, cheaper the better.

The Motherboard comes with a free Corsair Headset whilst stock lasts.

The Corsair Ram is on offer this week. The 8GB is plenty for gaming.

Depending on what resolution you play at, you could save more by going for a GTX780 or R9 290.

You would need an external Optical drive if you go for the H440 case, as it doesn't have an internal drive bay

I should also specify that I'd like to stick with nVidia graphic cards, been using radeon graphic cards and didn't perform well to my liking and a majority of the games I play encorporate Nvidia PhysX systems

Ok thats fair enough :)

One of these would be a good choice. Gigabyte and EVGA also have very good warranty support.

I would probably wait for the Devil Canyon CPUs being released next month(4670k and 4790k).

Here's a spec anyway, if you decide to wait till next month the 4770k is only a placeholder

I think the unlocked Haswell cpu's are a few weeks off yet (Middle of June) I agree if you are not in a hurry then wait for them to hit the shelves.

@dacads

Op wants Nvidia for Physx :)

I'm not in a major hurry, more-so testing the waters to see what's the current tech to aim for. Been a few years since my last upgrade as I've been out of work since then, managed to aquire a job to pay for this so hopefully in the next few months I can fork out for a nice system.

I appreciate the advice and suggestions given so far, many thanks :D
