Upgrading seats Is it worth it?

Slightly OTT but I work for BA so get to fly First Class if it's available and tbh I prefer Club. F class on BA at least is a bit too discrete for my liking, whereas in business it's a case of just bring it all on ;) :)

Flat beds though in F and J are fantastic :D

To OP though - don't think I would be paying that much extra just for some legroom and drinks, £300 would go a long way for spenders imo ;)

On a long haul flight like that, isn't the leg room a bit better than what you would get on a european flight anyway, due to the length of the flight?

with most charter airlines yes

these days the charter airlines tend to have more leg room than the likes of BA/Virgin on long haul flights

Do what John McCririck does to the Boobie.Upgrade yourself and put your other half in cattle class. If she needs to stretch her legs she can walk up to the front for a chat.;)

Finally decided to go for it, paid it today first choice Premium upgrade (longhaul)

Seats in the cabin are leather armchair-style with foot support and nine-inch seatback TV with touchscreen control. The in-flight entertainment includes 12 films, 30 TV programmes, 10 radio channels plus CDs and games.

Other benefits are an amenities pack, dedicated check-in, priority boarding and a sparkling cocktail before take-off. Meal service is four courses with wine and snacks. All drinks except Champagne are included.

seat pitch, described as "at least" 36 inches,

If money was/is no object then surely it was a no-brainer?
