Upgrading SSD

I've got a 60gb OCZ Vertex 2e atm and looking to upgrade to 120gig ssd for my OS and a few loading intensive games.

Apparently there are issues with my board running sata3 reliably due to crappy Marvell controller (GA-X58A-UD3R intel x58)

So my question is this - shall i just get a decent sata 2 or will sata 3 still be better performance in a sata 2 port?

Also, If I get a new ssd is it worth running it separate to what I already have for gaming purposes or just ditching the OCZ and putting both the OS and my games on the new drive?

I don't want to raid.

run both SSD's TBH extra storage is extra storage.

Get a SATA3 it will perform the same or slightly better than a sata 2 even on a sata 2 connection.

Also if you ever upgrade mobo in the furture your ready for a sata 3 connection then.

I would reccomend a Crucial M4 or Samsung 830.
