My current setup

Should I upgrade do ya think?

I do find the fan loud in it if im honest but im unsure is it the cpu cooler or the case

thoughts ?
 
theres not a lot of point in upgrading untill the next generation of CPUs and GPUs

the easiest way to find out which fan is the noisy one is to temporarily stop it while your running the computer (just press on it gently with your finger)

when you find the horrible noise has stopped, you know you have the fan in question. you'll have to stop both CPU fans at once to see if they are the culprit though)
 
you overclocked the 1055T? It's got a pretty poor base clock, and that will hurt in games.

It's definitely not the 570, unless there's something wrong with the card / drivers.

BTW, the PSU sounds like a liability. If it's not powering the card properly, you'l either see crashes or very poor graphics performance.

Nope not over clocked

do you think I should upgrade to the SandyBridges or what would you advice

For Crysis 2 I agree that the GTX570 shouldn't be what's holding you back. Like others have mentioned, you should really have a go on overclocking the CPU.

Yes going SandyBridge would definitely give you better frame rate than even with the Phenom II X6 overclocked, but not really sure if it really justify the cost. If you really got money to spare, then sure by all mean upgrade to a SandyBridge...or if you can hold out and wait, wait and see if AMD Bulldozer can deliver the performance that's lots of people hoping it to (your board should be able to support Bulldozer CPU with bios update).
 
What sort of performance figures you getting? I really don't think you should upgrade anything, so there must be something wrong, either drivers or some insane graphics settings. I wouldn't whinge at over 40FPS. You can loook at the CPU load and see if what cores get maxed out.

I think you may be right about just waiting for the AMD Bulldozer but when is the release date for that?

im barely getting past 25fps on crysis 2 dx11
 
That sounds wrong. Try reducing some of the graphics settings, particularly the anti-aliasing and tesselation. If you still get poor frame rate at lower graphics settings, then the CPU could be the bottleneck. The 1055T isn't great at that game, so an overclock will help it. If you can't be arsed, then a 2500K upgrade, but it seems like a bit of a waste.

SandyBridge i5 2500K is better than the Phenom II X6 for gaming by a reasonable margin (i.e. 5-10fps higher in minimum and average frame rate), but thing thing is the cost of going from Phenom II X6 onto SandyBridge i5 2500K (plus motherboard) would probably be a bit much to justify the extra performance gain. Typically, I (and probably most people in general) won't recommend upgrading from Phenom II X6 to SandyBridge 2500K, unless you were someone that play WOW 95% of the time.

You can over clock it to a lot higher level, couldnt ya
