Upgrading to a freesync card.

Hello, I am thinking of buying a freesync card to compliment my new Freesync 75hz monitor. I currently have a 7970 Vapor x and am looking at an RX 570 Nitro 8gb, i know the performance increase isnt going to be massive (I am playing at 1080p) but research tells me this is the cheapest at £360 that can offer the at least the same performance. My question is will my i5 3570k @4.2ghz keep up with the new card and not bottleneck? My ram is 16gb ddr3. Motherboard is Asus P8 Z77-VLX

Have you considered a second hand 290X/390X? (non reference model). They go for around £100-150 and it will be faster.
Alternative a second hand 480 for ~200 is also an option.

The RX570 used to cost £165-170 just 6 months ago, and is not £360 card.

Exactly, the 1070 was a £360 card. I know you can't live in the past but the performance difference is astounding. As Panos says look for a second hand 290/399/480, sure there's greater risk but at £360 the 570 is shocking value.

Don't be spending 360 quid on a 570. Utter madness. Get a good 390x or 480 second hand instead.
