Synergy said:I currently have a socket 754 A64 3200+ 1GB Crucial CAS3 PC3200 - i also have a 7800GTX and I feel my PC is really holding my gfx card back. The ram and CPU barely overclock at all (like 5%) and I'm looking to change this.
I'm considering upgrading to...
DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-014-DF)
AMD Opteron UP 146 San Diego 2.0GHz 1MB Cache (Socket 939) - Retail (CP-142-AM)
G.Skill 2GB DDR HZ PC4000 (2x1GB) CAS3 Dual Channel Kit (F1-4000USU2-2GBHZ) (MY-008-GS)
I'm guessing that the RAM will give more boost than the CPU so I would plump for that first. Either way, having 2GB of RAM is becoming something of a necessity these days with many people.
