I started sourceing parts on sunday and was initally going for the P5B deluxe bundle with the 2gb geil ram and the E6600, however since sunday the price has increased for that bundle from 441 up 449 then today its 461 and since im on a tight budget and was planning on getting the Antec nine hundred case and ethier the ocz 700w or corsair 620 modular, now i have to change mobos, max for my build is £600 and not going below the E6600 cpu.

So any advice would be nice.

Something like this should do, if you could find an OEM 6600 and pair it with a Tuniq Tower or Scythe Ninja it would be better but the retail cooler should do for some mild overclocking. Do you already have a graphics card and all the other parts necessary?

Semi-pro's spec is good. You better off getting the parts individually, rather than rely on a bundle. We'll tell you what's hot and what's not :D

Like Melbourne said your best getting the things individually, can I ask though why a 700W PSU?

Casue it got *** reviews, and when i get enough money saved up again will be upgrading from my x1900xtx to a R600

The OCZ is good but I'd say the Corsair is better and 620w is easily sufficient to power a single graphics card, no matter whether it is an 8800 or R600. :)

Went and built my system got the Asus p5b wifi deluxe board, the antec 900 case, a thermaltake 700w tough power psu and the E6600 cpu.

Ive installed it all but now ive a major problem my soundcard ( x-fi xtreme music) isnt being recognised in the hardware and it was working in my old machine before i pulled it out at 3pm today.

Or if you can't get the newest drivers to work have you tried the old drivers that you got on the CD that came with the soundcard?

Also your signature is a bit too big at the moment, you have 4 lines to play with or a picture up to 400x75 pixels. :)

Yep used the old drivers from the cd, going to try re seating it, c if that helps.

EDIT:::: WOOT that helped, its working now, really puzzled though as it was seatted properly last time
