Hi guys,

Am looking to purchase the following SSD to whack inside my ultima vanquish system (antec 1200 casE) and use it as the boot / application drive.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-047-OC

I know very little about SSD's so this is probably a silly question...however I am planning to do a fresh install of windows 7 on the HD. I read that to get the best out of TRIM, I will need to enabled AHCI as opposed to IDE in the BIOS.

Will this affect the overclock profile in anyway ? As in, will it void my OCUK warranty by making this change ? Or is this setting outside of the OCUK overclock profile anyway ? Will the overclock have any adverse affect on the drive itself ?

Cheers guys.

Changing to AHCI will only change the SATA controller mode and should not affect your Overclock in any way and certainly won't void your warranty.
