Thank you, that's very helpful. Despite over 30 years in IT I'm still a complete numpty when it comes to Unix/Linux.

I was relatively so until I started working for the NOC team in an ISP last year. I've picked up phenomenal amounts of stuff since then, mainly because I'm spending at least 80% of my time logged in to various *nix based boxes!
