Upgrading virgin box

My parents still have an old telewest box and remote, where everything doesnt run that smoothly and efficiently.
Looking at upgrading their box for them. What are the options or how do I go about doing it?
Don't want to spend anymore on their bill.

The only option is to go through Virgin.

The box is rented from them and remains their property. Phone them up, tell them the box isn't working properly, they'll come and replace it for free. I don't know what the policy is for replacements, but new installs are now all V HD boxes.

If it's any help my new VHD box conked out within weeks of installation. They were round the next day to install a new one, which works fine. You'll also get (some) iplayer/4oD etc. programmes on the new box.
