Hi,

Is there anything wrong with buying a pack such as this which has been overclocked because I have no idea how to set about overclocking;-

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-080-OE

I would have the 8Gb rather than the 4GB memory.
I am just looking to improve my dated computers performance.
I have a Corsair 620W psu.
I am aware that I may have to budget £600 to include a new graphics card at a later date which one to choose I am not sure.

Hi Pohly,

Thank you for the prompt reply.
How would I overclock the i5-2500k please.

Mike

all you have to do is rase the multi fixed base clock/fsb at 100 so to get 4.4ghz just rase the multi from 33 to 44 mine can do that on 1.325v so might be more or less depends

all looks fine but the comment on the new graphics card, the new 7xxx series amd/ati cards coming out will be around the £400 mark, the cheaper ones wouldn't be out till feb/march, so depending on what the op already has will determine if they can wait.

mike1 are the hard disk/s and optical drive you currently have sata? new board don't have ide connectors. also whats the current case?

for overclocking once you're all setup have a look in the overclocking section of the forums for help, incase you don't understand the terms pohly just used ;)

oh and to add to the 5% code thing, its only valid till 11.59pm tomorrow http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18355464

I'd say the 2gb vram 560ti will be more future proof tho £26 more for the ocuk(pallit) version or £35 for the msi version
