Upgrading?

As a previous triple monitor setup owner (while pretty nice) it has it's drawbacks. I have no idea what your budget is (or what hardware you have) have you thought about going with a curved monitor? (good immersion) while avoiding any hassle with support/bezels.

3930k and gtx 680 but I may go for a gpu upgrade also like a 980

Edit:

Funny I had my 3930K paired with GTX680 SLI :)

hit VRAM wall with their 2GB in BF3 6040x1080 and moved on

Curved + GTX980 would be a good option (if you cant wait a month or two for new GPU releases)

Triple monitors are only worth having for driving games IMO and should only really be set up as such. Everything else for me was pointless. Crysis 2 and RAGE were awesome but sadly I found myself using only the middle monitor as I had to concentrate on shooting and survival so no time to take in the scenery.

You have a nice CPU so no need to change any of that. Can you afford Titan X? Logically it makes the most sense. Either that or track down a second hand Titan or Titan Black?

If not then I suggest a 8gb 290x.

New GPU releases are supposedly the AMD R9-390X (4 or 8GB HBM memory) and the GTX980Ti (probably 6GB VRAM similar performance to the Titan X)

I play on a 4K-60hz-1ms Asus PB287Q so I can't comment about any of the curved monitors.

ALXAndy also mentioned the R9-290X 8GB which is around the same performance as the GTX980 with more VRAM and a very good price atm.
