But for the same failure to happen on take-off, so soon after maintenance on the same area, leaving the same fracture/stress evidence on the wreckage...
I really hope it's not the case if it is the FAA need to nail UPS to the wall and the maintenance crew barred from ever working on aircraft again.
Sadly seems to be far too common these days for companies to continue pushing things into service "old, tired and well beyond its useful life." even when it is safety critical, I really hate being at the mercy of such head up behind attitudes and sadly nothing gets done until after a completely avoidable serious accident happens.
