Did anyone used to play Urban-Rpg? (it was a text based mafia style game than ran from 2002 until about 2010.) It was really different to all the other text based games out there and was very addictive, especially with all the banter and wars between players.

Anyway, there's a new game out now (launched August 2013), which is based on the layout and style of Urban but it has a lot more features, with new one's being added regularly, the only problem is it lacks enough active players, which made Urban so fun. If anyone wants to check it out, it's www.criminalconnection.com once you get used to the game and get into a routine, it becomes very addictive.

I play one called Bootleggers. It's been around since 2003, one of the more successful text-based mafia games.

I played about 11 at a time, MafiaDeath was the best IMO, still going now. Made something like £300 from growing accounts and designing banners for crews. Might have a look at this, great pass-time.

Haven't heard of either of those games, I guess I'll sign up and see what they are like.

The problem with most are they are just about energy and can't do anything else, do a crime wait 5mins for more energy and then do it again, gets very monotonous but most games seem to be like that nowadays. I prefer games with a bit more depth and things that are a little different, makes it much more fun.
