urgent help required please

im doing my new build at the moment and im stuck lol, im using a p180 mini case and it has 2 usb ports on the front, the two wires coming from the front panel have 5 wires on each plug,

wire 1 labeled usb 1

vcc1
data-1
data+1
gnd1
sheild1

wire 2 labeled usb 2

vcc2
data-1
you get the idea lol

question is where do these plugs go ?

does 1 go to the fusb1 header and the other to fusb2 on the mobo ?

only reason im asking is each header on the mobo has 9 pins so obviously if i plug one connector into each one some pins arent going to be used,

anyone shed any light please ?

Have you checked the motherboard or case instructions? Mine had pics showing you where each go.

sorry i forgot to mention the wires are in a black connector, slim with 5 wires in each one,

just want to know wether usb 1 and 2 go into the sme header on the mobo

Yes they connect to the USB headers on the board.

lol i know that, but do both 5 in a line plugs go into just one header ?

Download the mobo manual, or read the sticky, it tells you in very good detail about these wires.

Look in mobo manual and find out which pin on mobo header is Ground, and which is Data +ve.

Plug in the lead so that those pins line up with appropriate labels on the plug.

u do know u dont need to attach them for usb ? u can still use back ones . justa idea but like others said read manual
