could sum1 tell me if this chip is easily overclockable or if its any good?

Intel Core™ i7- 920 SLBCH 2.66GHZ Quad Core processor ?

it is socket Socket LGA1366 which will work in a rampage 2 ?

Aye that's the C0 stepping i7 920 - good chip. It is indeed s1366 and should work fine with the Rampage 2 motherboard.

Usually overclocks pretty easily to 3.7-3.8GHz with decent air cooling, getting it up to 4GHz usually requires quite a bit more more volts/cooling in my experience.

How much are you getting this chip for? If it is close to this price, then I would instead suggest getting the newer D0 stepping which overclocks a bit better.

At a guess: 2 months give or take. I hear the 920 will be replaced with the slightly faster 930 in a few months.

However, the 930 will likely based on the same D0 stepping, just a slightly higher multiplier - it will probably overclock just as well as an i7 920 D0.
