I connected my laptop to my samsung tv to watch some Curb in the spare room all was working well.

Then all of a sudden I can't get a signal I plugged the vga cable in the laptop when its connected to the TV i hear a new hardware sound and the TV appears on the laptop screen but the TV says no signal.

Its driving me mad

please help

I can see both screens in NV control panel have tried function f8 and windows p but whatever i try i see nothing on the tv.

Last week it was working fine.

I have tried changing vga cables drivers and everything. I can't belive its this difficult.

I have come to the conclusion that the TV is faulty please help me before i kill myself

Connect the PC in your sig to the TV using a DVI to VGA adapter and see if you get a signal that way.

If you don't get a signal it looks like the TV is faulty.

OK

I tried another laptop and the TV vga input works

I Plug in my dell laptop and nothing even though the samsung tv is seen in the screens option

any ideas?

Have you tried deleting the samsung tv from the graphics drivers and the hardware devices in windows ? Then allow it to redetect the tv ?, maybe you also have the refresh rate or resolution wrong and causing the samsung tv to show no signal when really it means it can't use the refresh rate or the resolution you have set. I would check refresh rates, resolution and make sure to redetect the samsung tv also you can try setting the graphics cards drivers back to factory settings (I have not used an Nvidia cards in a long time so can't help you there mate). Have you tried the Laptop VGA output on a computer monitor or another TV ?

Yeah tried that. Removed the samsung and detect...unistalled drivers everything.

Its so annoying.

As I say it was working great then one day I plugged it in and got the hardware sound but no picture.

I hoping its not the VGA port on the laptop. TV is fine proven.

I guess its a process of elimination. Next I will try a monitor like you suggest mate cheers.

If the monitor dispplays then it has to be the refresh rate. Although 60hz is what is was on before
