This is bugging me now as a mate at work just asked me this.

jack sparrow has three gold coins and is being chased by villagers. He comes to a rope bridge, but the bridge will only support him and two of the coins. He cannot throw the third and he can only make one trip accross.

So how does he get himself and the three coins accross????

wow, now thats a reply! yeah juggle em, got it after writting this and going for a coffee!
wonderfull way to spend your working time ! :p

he pays on of the villagers 1 gold coin to walk across the bridge after he has come across, then when its just him and the villager on the otherside of the bridge he shoots him with his gun?

Make a witty comment using the word "savvy", then dodge about a bit whilst waving a sword, then distract the villagers and get will turner to take the coins across.
Sorted!

swallow one of the coins..cos then technically he only has 2 coins to carry and the weight of the other coin that he swallowed is now a part of his total weight

get it?

the bridge can support him (doesnt say anything about the maximum wieght the guy can be) and two coins..

The force would be equal to the weight of the coin? And since one coin is always in the air that force is still not over the two coin limit....
I have no idea about physics, so correct me please :p
