I was recently checking the statistics of my website and found that one of the highest sites with links to my website is the following:

http://Not.your.business.(Battleguard).lol

Since the start of the year it has produced 11% of the traffic to my website.

The strange thing is, that the name in the title (battleguard) is the name of an Ex guild member.
The same guild member who went on to hack our Teamspeak server almost a year ago, maybe more.

So to see my website being linked from his is getting me worried.

Am i right in thinking that the only way for that website to appear is if it was actually attempting to connect to my site? Or am I being overly paranoid?
And would a link have to be clicked in order for it to show up?

Is there any method of finding out more information in regards to the URL?

I have tried Pinging it without success, searching for it on Google and so on but it's like it doesn't exist..yet is still sending traffic to my website.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and hopefully I'm just being paranoid for nothing.

Sounds like this person has modified the referrer string their browser sends - it's very easy to do. The wording especially suggests that would be the case, since it's not a valid URL and many people overly concerned with privacy often change the referrer string to a phrase like 'none of your business' (when you can actually just send none at all).

So every time this person clicks a link through to your site they send that referring 'URL' rather than the site they actually came from.
