Anybody watching this? Murray currently on court, two sets up and cruising after a bit of a stutter in the second.

As for the other Brits - Heather Watson's already out and Laura Robson is playing later too.

Just following it on the text commentary, pleased to see he went through but it sounds as if he made it rather more difficult for himself than he needed to. Still as they say you can't win it in the first week, you can only lose it so no matter how he goes through it all counts.

Well he made a very slow start and then threatened to muck it right up in the second set before winning those four games in a row to take it.

Still, the important part is that he progressed. Dodig next? Never heard of the bloke. :o

Murray seemed a bit angry with his game...or something at the start of the second...I hope it wasn't the sign of a niggling injury limiting things a bit, however if it was just a tantrum, which he has kept under control this year then hopefully its out of his system.

As for Dodig Tute, career high of 32 last year, had a decent year but this year he's been awful in singles competition but better in doubles. Decent player but should be another 3 setter for Murray.

Fed won last night in straight sets, no surprise again!

I'm hoping Murray continues to play early so I can at least watch his matches this year, a hell of a lot of night games last year which wasn't great!

Heh, your wish didn't last long there jrodga, he's up last on Arthur Ashe today. Bearing in mind the match before starts at midnight GMT that puts him at what... 2-3am start?

Doubt i'll be able to stay up for that one. :p

Yeah straight sets win...as I expected...did not get my wish...plus I do hate waking up just to check the result, seems strange haha!

The scheduling this year seems a bit crazy! Usually it would be a case of the top seeds on each side of the draw play on the same day but Fed plays tonight.. Murray last night!

Must be a way of trying to ensure the crowds have a big game each day in the opening round I guess!

Fantastic win for Robson also, she'll probably follow that up by getting gubbed in the next round however!

Robson takes Li Na out! What the...

Fantastic game for her, didn't have her usual poor games, played fairly consistent all the way through. Hope she can carry this confidence forward and get through another round or two.

Murray's involved in a war with Lopez. Leading 2-1 in sets and it's 5-5 in the fourth.

Wins the the fourth set tiebreaker 7-4 to progress.

Lucky to go through tbh. He looked like he was knackered after the first set. Exciting match, probably Raonic next which will be tough.

Laura Robson in big trouble now. Also, Murray up last again tomorrow (sorry jrodga, looks like another 1-2am start).

Also, I sat through two sets of the Lopez match and had to turn off. It was almost boring me to tears - both players just seemed to be keeping the ball in play and waiting for the other to make a mistake. Nobody was forcing anything at all really. :(

Robson loses 4-6, 4-6 to Stosur. She should be proud at how well she's done this year and losing two close sets to last years tournament winner isn't something she should feel too bad about either.

Look's like Nadal is out for the rest of the year.

Wonder how much of a challenge Fish will give Federer.

Murray to improve his Lopez performance and come through in straight set's.

Fish has pulled out for health reasons so Federer goes through to the quarterfinals. Murray will have to play really well to beat Raonic in straight sets, watched his serving against Blake, scary good averaging about two aces per service game.

A very good performance by Laura Robson for the tournament, it takes her up to 75 in the rankings according to the reports tonight and that's a good bonus as one of the youngest in the top 100 of the World. If she can keep building then she's got a good future ahead of her I hope.
