US wants war with China

think you will find they don't WANT it just that if they don't cooperate than it may happen in the future.

Did you read the story before posting the link?

US becoming jealous of China's economic success, that is all. China has their fingers in too many western pies to start a "war" with anyone really. Political disputes, sure, but they're just words and don't harm anyone.. :)

something tells me he wasn't being 100% serious.

But yes, China will soon be the New Empire...

I don't think the chinese will be a new world empire.

China is a house of cards, just like the USSR.

USA could freakin crush China if it wanted.

At this point perhaps, but I think they're playing the waiting game.

China's Military

"The US has also expressed fears over the spending on the 2.5m-strong military."

pah...

China can't keep her missiles fuelled and on the launch pads because the fuel is just so corrosive. By the time the first one is fuelled and ready to fly it's already way too late in the big fiery mushroom season.

The USA is very experienced at fighting wars as we well know.

When was the last time the Chinese had experience fighting a war?

Plus the US has tested numerous nuclear weapons.

true, but do you think they spend $35billion a year on finding new ways to pick rice fields quicker?

America is experienced in wars, but it doesn't mean its actually good at it. Iraq? Afghanistan? Vietnam? Korea? None of those countries had the same resources as China does now, but they still gave America a hard fight (except recent 'wars' - but insurgents are still not playing nice).

Yeah but don't be fooled into thinking that despite inexperience that china couldn't wreak devestation on any country that it went to war with. Its funds are almost limitless, and the average chinese military guy, while not as hardened as US/UK equivalents, will be one tough cookie and heavily trained in firearms and especially martial arts with top-class equipment. And thats not even beginning to touch on their cyber-warfare skills which are rapidly overshadowing ever other nation... and it's likely that many future "wars" will be fought that way.

However what you have to bear in mind that Chinas population is so massive and so tightly packed that a couple of well placed bombs/missiles each end of the country would absolutely devestate the the population and economy. I don't believe they (or us, considering how our intersts are so interlinked) would risk that sort of conflict. I think China is just protecting its own interests and quite rightly (from their perspective) building a word-class army that will consolidate its status as one of the greatest (if not the greatest) world premier superpowers in the coming decade(s).

All China needs to do is sort its environmental and social policies out (devestating wildlife, mass pollution, awful cencorship) and it could be a great asset to the world... but as it stands the Chinese government is just too draconian for my liking. I find them unpredictable and I think the rest of the word is quite right in beginning to really fear them.

USA will NEVER nuke china. Fact. If USA does that, you will see USA's economy come tumbling down in one night. 80% of the world's product is made in China man, nobody will nuke China.

And which country has the most debt in this world? - USA.

Who has been keeping USA's economy afloat? - CHINA

If China changes it hundreds of trillions USD into Euro, usa can kiss goodbye.
