Usain Bolt to get tryout with Manchester United

His height and pace would make him a decent enough centre back since you don 't really need silky skills but I would imagine that's not the kind of position he was looking for.
 
And he runs past one defender, and the next, and the next, theres no stopping him, he lines up for the shot!

...but he left the ball at the centre circle.
 
Sir Alex will fire a gun when he wants him to run fast and they’ll probably have to change the offside rules just to accommodate him. :p

I imagine he would pick up injuries really easily after having a body perfectly tuned for one kind of running. I don't imagine he has put his body through anything like the amount of twisting and turning a footballer has. Then there's the getting clattered.

On his try out they should have scholes go through him from behind and then say "Good luck at Rio going for the 3rd gold" :p
 
lol just because he's the fastest man on earth, doesn't mean he will be any good. he'll be pap i reckon.

didn't chambers try his hand at rugby and nfl?
 
For someone who's quoted as saying he doesn't like training, going to Man U should be way down his list.

He'd have to work all year round, which I'm sure he does to some extent now, but he'd have to get used to running for at least 90 mins a week (depending on the number of games!), which is considerably more than he does now....
 
Why is anyone even discussing the fact that he won't be suited to actually playing football?

It's just a marketing event - Bolt gets to 'play' in a Man U top and Man U players get to meet Bolt.

Man U associated with Bolt, Bolt associated with Man U, good for both their PR teams, that's all.

On the other hand he can't be worse than bellion and he got some game time.

Maybe they could have a race off against hernandez ti find out who is really the faster of all time.
