Usain Bolt to get tryout with Manchester United

I still don't think that would have been a problem, after all didn't we all do sprinting in our younger days on grass anyway. I imagine Bolt would have too or dirt. None of my sports days were ever on a track :D

It would have been interesting to see though :)

Wasn't it Darren Campbell that played in those charity matches up front. He was amazingly quick over grass and absolutely laughable on the ball :D

in his prime, campbell was blindingly quick. bolt would win but campbell would've given him a good run for his money in boots and on turf in his prime over the pitch length.

It says it was 'from data collected in the last two years'... so it's fairly meaningless, unless we find out what data. It's not as though they all lined up and sprinted 100m, or were timed over that distance separately, or whatever. I mean, it could be that Bolt's reported speed is his average over 100m, whilst the speeds for Walcott, et al, over a much shorter distance, etc.

I imagine it measured the top speed that the player reached over the two years, pretty meaningless as you said.
