USB 2 drivers

When I connect usb devices to my case usb ports connected via the additional connectors on my P4P800 mobo (ie not plugged into the backplate) I get a message saying not USB 2. I have tried updating the drivers from the ASUS mobo cd and from the net but am always told I have the latest drivers. I am running XP Pro with SP2 so as far as I know the drivers should be correct for USB 2. Any ideas?

Is the USB device 2.0?

As he says you only get USB2.0 speeds with a V2 Device connected.

The port will not make v1 devices upto V2.

The devices are defo USB 2.0. One is a USB 2.0 card reader which I use to put my photos on the pc.
