I've got an AIO PC with a laptop-speed 5400 rpm hard drive inside. I don't feel confident enough to go inside an AIO, so I was wondering what would be a faster solution than 5400 rpm to offload some of my heavier apps and games for read/write access times? The above two USB 3.0 options spring to mind. Thanks in advance :-)

any access panel for the hdd? best way would be to replace with 500gb ssd?

idk how fast one would be through usb3

The rear of my PC is smooth as a baby's bottom! There are screws underneath the lowest bezel though which means that the entire bezel will clamp off as a whole. I think that's too risky and I'm sight impaired anyway.

I was really hoping for a solid state solution that was faster than 5400 rpm (equivalent obviously) without modifying the AIO, and therefore I was looking at the pros and cons of a USB stick and an external SSD. I'm not copying my OS, so no Norton Ghost etc, just a straight copy of some large portable apps and games that are currently being bottlenecked by the 5400 drive.
