USB 3 silly Question

Just read about HDD on USB3 interfaces with transfer rates of over 300MB sec.Why are we still connecting our hdd to intel or Marvell controllers? Or m i missing something here ?

Where did you read that.

No single HDD can work at that speed.

SSD's yes, HDD's no.

SATA 2 is 300MB/sec and SATA 3 is 600MB/sec bandwidth.
