i have an acer n35 pda/satnav and the problem i have is that when i try and connect it to my pc through an after market usb cable for the N35 it will not recognise the device, the pc recogognises that there is a devise but will not install a driver for it so in turn wont do anything with it like sync with it or charge it

any ideas?

cheers cyc

tried that, but as it wont recognise what it is so it wont let me, i have pointed it to where drives are located (i only have an .inf file that is available from acers site)

any more ideas?

I assume you have been to this page?

Download the zip
Extract the files to your desktop
Plug in your N35
Point the Hardware Installation Wizard to the INF on your desktop.

This should work. If that still fails I'd try a different data cable, or a different PC to work out where the problem is.

yeah i have and i even had a new cable sent to me thinking it was that at fault

the original cable that came with there are no problems, but it does have its own power cable going into the back of it, do you think it maybe a power issue?

thanks for your replies by the way
