This is one that I have failed to solve.

Its a SANDISK 32GB and its a dual one, and has USB3 and Micro USB on it and it kind of slides across.

Its had no use out of it, I have almost filled it up with a load of stuff for a friend, and when I went to add some more stuff onto it, it failes.

I have tried to do the registry fix, but the info was not there and so I added it but this didnt help.
I have downloaded the SanDisk tools to fix it and the tools say that the READ ONLY is now disabled but Windows still wont let me do anythign to either the files or the partition on it, nor do everything else I try.

I have tried a couple of other disk tools that are supposed to bypass the R/W of USB drives and they dont help either?

Its only 32GB and so its no big deal as I have loads of flashdrives, but the thing has only ben used once and thats the bit thats bugging me. Sending it of to get checked out would probably cost me more than simply running to tescos and buying anothe, and no, I dont have the receipt from tesco either?

Anyone suggest anything ?

Yes, I often do use the Debit card transactions for some things, but the thing is, that we get stuff from Tesco just down the road loads of times, and I am not absolutely positive on the date that I got it, so if I just narow it down to around 6 weeks ago and it could be 4 to 8 weeks if I go a fortnight either side, its still 15 possible times according to my bank statements that I spent enough in Tesco and I did not go there specifically for it, I just though bugger it, it looks sweet.

Tesco will simply NOT go searching...

I have 2 of thee 32GB ones and one 64GB one of the same, plus, I have had a few Micro SDs that could be it, as I am an idiot that has lots of phones all with 64GB Micro SDs and on and on...

If it's read only, make a full backup of all files first.

Use another USB to make a Linux boot drive (ubuntu recc'd) and then see if gparted can fix it as it likely will. It could be that it just needs a "nudge" into read/write mode which gparted can do by fully re partitioning it or it could be the drive has failed hence read and no write.

Sorry, I also use Linux ( Sabayon on my Desktop and Minr on a Laptop ) anyway, but no, gpaerted does NOT solve it either!
And yes, I also hav a Hackintosh and that does not help either!

I think I will just acceopt my loss cos this is a swine to solve.
