USB hard disk asking for password

Hi,

I have a usb hard disk that's asking for a password and username, but i don't recall setting one! Is there a way to remove the password protection or does anyone know default passwords for an external 100gb iomega hard disk?

That's odd. Do you need access to any of the data on the drive?

If so you probably get to brute force it, and just leave the process running for however many weeks it takes. If not, reformat it and call it good

Find out what code it is saying access denied on.

Format is probably the best option.
