USB Hubs?

I am after some advice if USB hubs are ok for Gaming and if you can recommend any.

My screen is on my desk with all the peripherals and my PC about 2Mtrs away would using a USB hub cause any sort of delay on my keyboard and mouse?

Also is it best to get a USB powered or wall powered hub?

My PC is also about 2 metres away from my Obutto R3volution cockpit,

I recommend you use mains powered USB hubs, I use 2 of these :

** No competitor links allowed **

I play a game called "Day of Defeat" which requires a lot of fast moving and accurate mouse control, and have never had any problems using these hubs.
